| Mark Spirk is a 1979 graduate of Northmont High School. He was the captain of the 1979 State Soccer Championship Team, making the 1978 All Ohio 1st Team. Mark went on to play soccer at Wilmington College with brothers, Steve and Mike.
In 1995, Spirk inherited a club that posted a 9-8 record in the 1994 season. Since then he has guided the Thunderbolts to a 77-32-15 record, including four conference titles, and has made it to the District Championship four of the past six season, winning the District Championship in 2001. In 1996, 1997 and 2001, he was named Dayton North Coach of the Year. "I've dedicated much of my life to this game, "Spirk said. "As a player, whenever I stepped onto the field, my attitude was always, my team is going to win, and today as a coach, my attitude is still the same."
In 1996, Spirk received his national coaching license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Spirk is employed by Computer Associates International and resides in Englewood with his wife, Tambi, and their four children, Justen, Nina, Ashley and Matthew. |

| Ted Mergler is a Northmont graduate, class of "97". Ted graduated from Wright State University in 2001. He teaches third graders at Englewood Hills Elementary. Ted has coached for for 6 years, 4 at the high school level. This is Ted's first year with Northmont. Ted Plays amateur soccer for the Franco's. He is married and resides in Englewood. |

| John Rabius graduated Northmont in 1990. He coached club level for 5 years and is currently with NUSA Nitro 94. This is his first year with Northmont High School. He currently resides in Union with wife Sherri and sons Kyle and Ryan. |
