Mark Spirk is a 1979 graduate of Northmont High School. He was the captain of the 1979 State Soccer Championship Team, making the 1978 All Ohio 1st Team. Mark went on to play soccer at Wilmington College with brothers, Steve and Mike. In 1995, Spirk inherited a club that posted a 9-8 record in the 1994 season. Since then he has guided the Thunderbolts to a 77-32-15 record, including four conference titles, and has made it to the District Championship four of the past six season, winning the District Championship in 2001. In 1996, 1997 and 2001, he was named Dayton North Coach of the Year. "I've dedicated much of my life to this game, "Spirk said. "As a player, whenever I stepped onto the field, my attitude was always, my team is going to win, and today as a coach, my attitude is still the same." In 1996, Spirk received his national coaching license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Spirk is employed by Computer Associates International and resides in Englewood with his wife, Tambi, and their four children, Justen, Nina, Ashley and Matthew.
 
Ted Mergler is a Northmont graduate, class of "97". Ted graduated from Wright State University in 2001. He teaches third graders at Englewood Hills Elementary. Ted has coached for for 6 years, 4 at the high school level. This is Ted's first year with Northmont. Ted Plays amateur soccer for the Franco's. He is married and resides in Englewood.
 
RESERVE
Doug McGraw is a 1997 graduate of Northmont High School. He played all 4 years at Northmont, with a great conclusion in his Senior year, earning GMVC Player of Year. Doug currently works at International Molasses Corporation as a Warehouse Manager. This will be his 9th season as a coach at Northmont. Doug is married to his high school sweetheart Laura, they currently reside in Vandalia.
 
Doug Paul is a 1999 graduate of Northmont High School where he played all four years earning 1st-team All-Area recognition his senior year and Defensive player-of-the-year honors his final two seasons. Doug currently attends Wright State University majoring in Motion Picture Production. This will be his fifth season coaching at Northmont. Doug grabbed a piece of Evander Holyfield's ear off the mat when it was bit off and spit out by Mike Tyson. He is saving it as a retirement plan.
 
RESERVE B
Cesar Rivera was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico where he developed his love of the game. This is his second year coaching at Northmont, at age 16; he moved to Cancun, Mexico and continued playing soccer. At age 21, he played for the local professional team, Caribenos de Cancun. In 1993 he moved to the U.S. where he still continues playing both outdoor and indoor soccer. He became the coach of Bolts '94 in 2004 and enjoys coaching and teaching the boys life-long skills. Cesar says, "I love this sport. I play it, and to me, it is the best and biggest sport in the world. I spend a lot of time watching it, reading about it, and continuing to learn from it". Cesar is also the Head Coach for NUSA Nitro 94 premier team. Cesar currently lives in Englewood with his wife Stephanie and their three children, Austin, Elena, and Marcos.
 
John Rabius graduated Northmont in 1990. He coached club level for 5 years and is currently with NUSA Nitro 94. This is his first year with Northmont High School. He currently resides in Union with wife Sherri and sons Kyle and Ryan.
